On February 4, 2025, Massimo Biagi, CTO of Keyline, participated in the roundtable “Accelerare l'innovazione data-driven” (“Accelerating Data-Driven Innovation”), organized by Cohesity in collaboration with Cisco, Nutanix and Vem Sistemi. The event was held at the San Giobbe Economic Campus of Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
During the panel, speakers explored how businesses can integrate advanced data protection solutions that can combine simplified management, scalability, high performance and advanced security.
The discussion fostered an exchange of ideas on cutting-edge strategies and technologies, with a focus on data-driven innovation, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity and AI management on hybrid multicloud platforms.
Drawing on his extensive professional and academic experience in ICT, cybersecurity and business continuity, Massimo Biagi highlighted how cognitive biases often shape the perception of cybersecurity. In particular, the fallacy of induction is a logical error that assumes the future will always mirror the past based on repeated experiences.
This belief is based on the idea that if an event has occurred multiple times before, it will continue to happen in the same way. However, disregarding the possibility of unforeseen events or overlooked factors can compromise system security, thus making in-depth analysis and effective protection strategies essential.
Therefore, Biagi emphasized the importance of understanding the context and threats related to information management to implementing the right protection strategies. In this sense, a proper risk management analysis helps businesses adopt the right tools and plan targeted investments for the security of data and assets, ensuring business continuity and protecting corporate reputation.
At Keyline, security is not just a priority: it’s part of our DNA. Every day, we focus on protecting what matters most to people, from homes to vehicles. Likewise, we invest in constantly improving the internal management of our customers’ data and information through advanced technologies and a robust ICT infrastructure.
In this regard, we have recently renewed our technology architectures and data centers in collaboration with VEM Sistemi, implementing new AI-integrated backup systems. These solutions, developed by Cisco together with Cohesity and Nutanix, enable the rapid and structured restoration of information through better categorization of the same information within the backup.
This update is part of an ongoing evolution process of our infrastructure, aimed at always ensuring an adequate and constant level of security. At Keyline, we are dedicated to best protecting your assets—whatever they may be—with reliable solutions that ensure security and peace of mind.
