Keyline: An Evening to Rethink the Future of Industry Through Innovation, People, and Sustainability

On October 3, 2024, Keyline Industries hosted in Conegliano the conference “How Can We Rethink the Future of Industry?”, organized in collaboration with Arsenalia, a group specializing in strategic consulting, systems integration, and multichannel creative communication.

The event gathered around eighty participants and provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the impact of digital transformation and climate change—key issues shaping the future of businesses.

People and Environment at the Center

Led by Keyline CEO Giacomo Alpago, the discussions brought to light many insights on integrating technology with people’s well-being and environmental care.

Addressing his opening question—“How can we rethink the future of industry in light of the digital revolution, artificial intelligence, and the impact these have on people?”—the speakers tried to seek an answer that considered technology and people together. Giovanni Marta, a partner at Arsenalia, emphasized the importance of guiding people through the digital transformation journey: “Technology is not a substitute, but a complement.”

Federico Zoppas, Managing Director of Irca Spa, highlighted the importance of creating digital models that appeal to new generations, a view echoed by Galdi Srl CEO Antonella Candiotto, who shared, based on an actual example, how new technologies, when paired with human resources training, can transform into exciting challenges and foster positive cultural change.

Technology and Humanity: A Necessary Balance

Benedictine monk Father Natale Brescianini offered a perspective on how technology prompts us to ask fundamental questions: “Our relationship with artificial intelligence challenges us to rediscover what makes us truly human.” He cautioned against allowing technology to become a new “religion” and stressed the need to establish a new set of principles to find a new balance.

Economy and Ecology: An Inseparable Pair

Giacomo Alpago reiterated the responsibility that companies have to protect the planet. In this direction, Keyline and Arsenalia launched for the occasion a collaboration with the Fondazione Mare Vivo Foundation, which has been committed to the protection of the sea since 1985. Present at the discussion was the president of the foundation, Rosalba Giugni, who agreed that technology cannot be separated from ecology.

The evening concluded with high-level networking and a dinner catered by the Michelin-starred restaurant Dolada, providing participants with an inspiring moment to connect and envision a more sustainable industrial future for both people and the planet.
